Split a Word with a Fellow Proser
Team up with someone on Prose to create a collaborative poem based on a single word/theme... any word/ theme agreed upon by you both. Set a time limit of 6 minutes for your initial independent writes, then combine the two efforts into another longer poem using all the lines of the two individual writes. Each poet may post their own version... or you may select one as your combined final. (: This prompt created in collaboration with @Danceinsilence and @MsH ... tag both us please so we can read :)

A Light Storm

We will be the same age under the same new moon

When the adroit hands of darkness

colors our life

and sharpens our eyes

with what is not seen

and silver outlines.

...29.5 days so cycles the moon

through each blessed phase....

as we race to the New

and swing from the Crescent

to bask in the Full....

Your breadth and my depth will help

one to see...

And the light brightens your eyes. . . And your shadow cools

We wrap up all demensions

Cascaded in imagination previously jingling in pockets. . The light of broken rules

I exhaled the Shade

You inhaled the Light

We're spinning still...

on Opposite sides

of the Orb of Night...

And ponder the colors made;

blue, white and grey

Yes. Pulled by the magnetism of our poles

Together our words clash . Streaming through hand forged worm holes

To cause the world to spin, along with eyes

Us. The eyes of the storm that blows through

Eye opening and recycling the collection

A New Moon

Reshuffling the deck

with an ace in the hole.

An eye of coal

waiting to be lit

by day

and gold
