The metronome is asleep tonight.

All is still and all is right.

The clock, commander of all,

it is the master of the wall.

The hands keep time, time, time

in a sort of Runic rhyme.

Every second turns to hours

and she,

the metronome loses its powers.

Time prevails

Balance fails

And the room is once again

still.
