Restless nights.
Time flies in the evening after work, so much of this precious resource is lost. We lay awake in bed, contemplating how, and waiting to drift to sleep. When a toss, a turn, a itch, and numb arm keep interrupting just as we approach the sweet rim of sleep. We roll over to look at the alarm clock, or reach out to our nightstand to check the cell, for the time. We see 3 am; 'sigh’ at least we have 3 more hours. We repeat this at 4 and 5 with a ‘ugh.’ And at 6 with several snoozes before finally crawling into the day…
