Suzie Slasher
On the day Suzie was born she didn't cry. Her skin was cool to the touch and her face bore a smile. Her parents, having tried for many years to have a child, were thrilled never the less to name a daughter of their own. The lengths they had gone to for their miracle knew no bounds. After modern medicine had failed them, the magic of an old woman, whispered in secret and paid for in blood, provided them with their precious child.
At times it appeared little Suzie would age years over night, growing in both size and malevolence. Upon reaching the apperance of an eight year old girl--always donned with pigtails and ribbons--her growth stunted. Doctors having no answers, the family again turned to the old woman who had saved them before. The hag turned to face them with rotted teeth opening to let out a cackled laugh. Though the couple edged away in fear, Suzie simply joined the laughter in a fit of giggles.
The family was forced to move from town to town to hide their daughter's condition while doting on her all the more for her poor lot in life, even after they were forced to refer to her as their granddaughter due to the age difference.
The parents seemed blind the horrible things that followed them from town to town. Pets went missing, lights often failed, and any time Suzie became angry, a chill would enter the room. But her anger was far more preferable to her happiness.
The sound of the young girl's giggles was always followed by great evil. She found nothing more enjoyable than when her touch would slowly freeze the blood of the neighborhood children. Never enough to kill, but enough so that as her laughter followed their running footsteps home, there would be no proof or evidence of any wrongdoing--only the tears and pain of her victims. As much as they children tried to avoid her, any distance seemed instantly covered by her. It was as if she was always behind them, waiting to share the cold that enveloped her-- her laugh echoing in their minds.
