Phantasma.
Joanna and Jeremiah clapped their hands. Their favorite holiday was around the corner. They smiled and prepared themselves. On their way back home from school, they spotted a patch of pumpkins near an old cottage.
Jeremiah didn’t want to follow Joanna inside the old cottage. She was curious, and wanted to check it out. Once they were inside, they found the place empty. There was no one there.
They heard the door close with a BANG. Jeremiah froze. He didn’t like this cottage at all. Joanna came across a cauldron. She also found a black hat. Jeremiah screamed when he saw the black hat on Joanna’s head. Then they heard a cough. Joanna found a rotting pumpkin lying behind the cauldron. It grinned.
Joanna picked it up and placed it on the table near the cauldron. Jeremiah couldn’t believe it. His sister was out of her mind. Snooping around an old cottage and mingling with the strange objects placed in it.
Jeremiah told his sister that it was time to leave. But then a bunch of candles lit up out of nowhere. And a fire started right beneath the cauldron. Joanna smiled. She wondered if she did that with her mind.
Then they heard a cackle. It grew, louder and louder. Jeremiah nearly tripped on something close to him. He looked down and saw a skull.
Jeremiah screamed. Joanna rolled her eyes. She knew that her brother was such a scaredy cat.
After a brief moment, the cauldron started to smoke, and POOF an elderly looking silver haired woman appeared. Her eyes glowed. She cackled. Stretched her bony hands, and opened them up. They were soon filled with candy.
Jeremiah shook his head. He didn’t like what he was seeing at all. Joanna scurried toward the old woman and reached for the candy. The elderly woman looked deeply into Joanna’s eyes and Joanna started to transform into a specter.
Her brother sobbed. He didn’t know what to do. Joanna realized what was happening and started crying. It was too late to run. Jeremiah rushed to his sister’s side. He tried to hold her, but she was now a ghost.
