Yelling underwater makes your cries sound so small

And yet you keep yelling as you’re releasing the air that makes you float to the surface

Sinking

And you think you’ve got this under control,

Except your pleads are becoming so faint

Almost nonexistent

And everyone can walk on the surface except you

Because you’re sinking

And sinking
