Dark.

The clock struck midnight and he knew he had to be home soon. His house was not that far, but it seemed he was walking down an endless paved road. He was walking in the freezing cold with his ripped black jacket and dark blue jeans, and if someone were to see him, they could easily mistake him for even a shadow. That’s when he heard a noise. He began to run. Where was his mind? What was he thinking about that got him so distracted? That’s when he realized it was just all in his head. And he finally woke up.
