Childhood Resplendence
Dashing through the long grass,
Emerald blades softly tickling my legs
I would run and play for hours,
The sun beating down on me
In resplendent, golden rays
The wind whipped through my hair,
Blowing chestnut strands
This way and that
I scoured stone after stone,
Searching longingly
For the perfect setup to fuel
My whim of a daydream,
Whatever it so happened to be
Beautiful days spent
In the warm embrace of
Mother Nature's light
Days I will forever cherish,
Always sacred to me,
Even though I'm no longer a child
