Challenge of the Week CIX
Was that a Question? Begin your entry with a question. Perhaps it's one you know the answer to, and we too will know by the end of our reading. Perhaps it's something you barely fathom an answer for, and will ponder via the pen. You can write anything you want, so long as it begins with a question. Fiction of non-fiction, poetry or Prose.
“Panting” For the Answer
What is the difference between pedal pushers and capris? Pedal pushers are pants that come below the knee. They were great to wear as a kid. You could ride your bike while wearing them and not worry about the bottom of your pants leg getting caught in the bike pedal sprocket which was especially easy to do with the elephant bells of the 70’s.
Capris, are pants that come just below the knee, also great for riding bikes. Why did they have to add clam diggers, highwaters, knickers, three quarter leg pants, flood pants, toreador pants and man-pris into the mix? Don’t even get me started on crop pants! Why are there so many names for the same thing? And how do you know when it’s appropriate to use which name?
