Enduring chill

My heart grew cold

Frostbit

Fragile vessel’s hold

Untempered;

Potter’s earthen ware

Fractured,

When too cold to bear

Warmed

Unto a love that mattered

Crack!

As frozen glass, it shattered

Gone away,

The broken pieces
