All the things

In my car

Absurd, yet without them

I wouldn't get far

There is the fish hook

In the lamp shade

A box of boxes

And a little spade

A broken shelf

And five wet socks

A half deck of cards

And some cool-looking rocks

A brand new mini-fridge

And scratched up CDs

Four capless pens

And pillow-fight treaties

A bunch of maps

And a few plushies

A fold-up chair

And two melted slushies

An open wood box

Full of pictures

Half-eaten apples

And some odd mixtures

I guess it's too bad

Given a story this long

That it turns out you can't
