Safe with Death
Push and shove,
Down the stairs,
Woke up not here,
Far far away.
A whisper to me,
Husky and strong,
You're perfect,
So beautiful.
He sang to me,
Held me close,
Bandaged my head,
Said goodbye.
Told me,
It wasn't time,
But asked,
If I wanted to stay.
I said sorry,
I cannot,
So he sent me away,
Back here...
But before I left,
He told me,
He would wait,
Excited for my return.
I cannot ignore,
That I await my return,
To that voice,
The one that healed me.
