spire,

Around the chains of midnight,

a hair raises,

skin boils….

Little shavings of life

expel.

There,there, a tumble of air

swoops below…

Patient wall-patient wall-patient wall

After fall is all gone,

in the fight of spring and summer

a heat wave inspires,

down and out, the

wind’s low breeze

grasps the shadowed

spire….

60. Sleep the night,

why should one?

It only wants!

It truly breaths down past the evolving

streets...

61. 11 P.M-I persist, my eyes will remain, but...

12 A.M-not a moment goes by when sleep petrifies

1A.M- not a moment interrupts my fist’s deposit to the patient wall

2A.M- The weariness is a parasite drinking away, I’m no buffet, but go on anyway...

3A.M- not a moment runs,leaps,crawls, or spins away, but the light is 3 hours from today, so I’ll just stay crazed….

The velvet stream

curl down toward the violent springs.

devours each delicate site…..

a soldier, a demon, a rebel….

66. My bed is a furnace.

         When I turn,
