Written In The Stars
How long this love lie waiting so dormant,
Haunted from within by an unknown torment;
Long did I hopelessly search for you,
So much time slipped away, doubts only grew;
True love how often so carelessly spoken,
But finally as one we can be unbroken;
Hearing your name invokes such intense feeling,
Together but silent the unspoken so revealing;
Created for each other, intertwined by fate,
Intoxicated with visions of a future so great;
Apart from you there is agony and pain,
Darkest of nights, or a cold winter rain;
Impractical, rare, only once in a lifetime,
Sadly we never experience the sublime;
Maddening anticipation no one could hide,
My heart now bleeds never opened so wide;
I believe we can love despite all our fears,
We can laugh, we can cry, wipe away all tears;
You are my impossible, insane, and unreal,
The love of my life, so high and ethereal;
We are not them, we will never compare,
For living the norm only leads to despair;
We need no lesson about how it should be,
Our journey is one of a new reality;
Others will envy, deny what is ours,
Love never broken but written in the stars.
