Go Outside
If you’re feeling trapped, isolated, alone,
Go outside.
Away from all humans and our creations.
Just jump into untouched nature.
Listen to the birds sing.
The insects hum and buzz.
And the sound of a warm breeze through thick green leaves.
The trickle of water from a spring or the deluge of winter floods hammering down an ancient river bed.
Realise it’s not just us.
It’s not reliant on us.
It can survive perfectly fine without us.
Some might argue; it would be better off.
Concentrate on the fact that silence is never actually silent, merely a lack of human noise.
And feel alive with the energy all around you, that flows throughout you,
That has been you since the dawn of this planet and will be you until it’s dusk.
You’re never alone.
You’re never isolated.
You’re never trapped.
You’re in the constant company of all that ever was and all that ever will be, eternally.
And you’re never really trapped as there’s never really anywhere else to go, if it’s all already in you and around you.
You just have to go outside,
That’s all.
Out of the prison or those four walls.
Life persists outside.
Unchain yourself from the nonsense of us and see how simple it all really is,
We’ve over complicated survival so a handful can thrive.
But it doesn’t have to be this way.
Just,
Go outside.
