Moving on from someone

is not by forgetting them.

It is does not happen by shredding your memories and storing them in the landfill of your mind.

We both know

you are tightly grasping your roll of tape.

Let me ask you this...

Would you tape a broken vase?

Its not impossible,

but it will stand only temporary

and keep the rose for a moment.

The only way to keep the rose

and have more roses to come

is to find another vase, but what do you with broken one?

You don’t push it to the corner

or store it in the attic.

You learn from it before you take it out to the trash.

You learn that next time,

you won’t put the vase too close on the edge of the table.

Next time

you will bring it near the sun

so the glass vase will be enchanted

by beautiful reflections along with your roses immersed in warmth.

A first love is never the last.

Forgive, but never forget.

Do not be afraid to love

because there are more vases yet to come.
