Goodbye Myself
Every time I try to run
I leave myself behind
Whether it was an accident
I never seem to mind
You’ll call me again tomorrow
And by the time I pick up the phone
I won’t remember my rehearsed goodbye
I'll forget the dark side you’ve shown
Maybe I've been running in circles
But somehow i’ve never run out of breath
Because I go to to you to revive me
But it’s you who’ll see to my death
One day I’ll escape your poisonous grasp
And learn to live on my own
Because the past is only a reminder
Of how far you’ve ever grown
So here’s to a new era
One with no more wars
Because I’ve never had a hole in my chest
All I’ve had is one in yours
