WINDY NIGHT
In the depth of night, I slept tight. A soft rhythmic sound made my eyelids compulsorily open, I instinctively put my foot down. It stopped. Few seconds later, a thud from outside, brought all my senses back to life. Innate fear drove my heart at jet speed that I felt it in my arms and legs. I put my face near the window, blackness outside hid everything from my sight.
“What should I do?” , I asked myself. I stood there frozen for few minutes, then I treaded slowly to feel my slippers in darkness. I sensed something sticky on the floor.
“What the heck?, where did this water come?” I asked myself.
Thankfully, I got hold of a flash light. I moved it at the ceiling, it was leaking. Tip..tip..tip, a rhythmic sound it made.
Again , thud sound outside. I unlocked the door, with a stick in my hand, My eyes explored the exterior. A cold breeze drained the blood from my cheeks and ears. As the wind intensified, a piece of junk metal jumped to another side.
“Oh the windy night” , I said to myself.
