If It Were
I stared in the mirror for a few moments, looking at my new features.
The features I've been wanting since I was a little kid.
Not much had changed honestly. My hair was still the cut short and wavy, my face being a bit more roundish in nature and my limbs sticking out weirdly. I glanced at my body in the mirror.
The only true difference was my lack of female organs, such as my breast and vagina. In place there was a lack of weight in my chest and a penis now there. I looked away from the mirror and now glanced down at said member.
Why this sudden change? It isn't like there's a god out there answering suddenly to what I've wanted since a child.
If it were out there, it would've turned my straight as well.
I quickly shoved that thought outside of my mind and took a quick glance at my binder. In my haze of waking up I hadn't realised this new change until I'd been changing in the bathroom, ready to slip on my binder and avoid looking at myself in the mirror, as I did every morning.
It was to early for any of this.
I quickly slipped on the rest of my daily wear, which consisted of an over sized hoodie and sweatpants. Should I tell my boyfriend? What would he think?
I'll figure it out once I get my morning coffee.
I slipped out of the bathroom and took a quick glance towards the bed, smiling slightly as I realised that my lover was already out of bed and making breakfast. I swiftly started making my way to the kitchen.
What do I do now?
I've always wanted this, and I already feel so much lighter and happier.
But what if it's temporary?
How did it happen?
"Morning Elliot" I heard my boyfriend call out from the kitchen as he heard my enter the adjoining living room. Instantly the smell of coffee met my nose and I rushed towards the kitchen, eyes zoning in on the cup as I shuffled over to it. I lunged for it, making Matt laugh "Love you too-" He called out sarcastically.
"Love you-" I grumbled into my mug as I took a large gulp of the burning liquid, gagging slightly at the pain. Even without looking over I could feel Matt's amusement.
I ignored it in favour of taking another gulp of the caffeinated drink.
So we continued our usual morning routine in relative silence, working in tandem. While Matt cooked breakfast for the two I simply sat on the counter, sipping at my coffee.
I discretely patted at my chest for a moment. Just as I did so Matt caught my eye, and he instantly frowned in concern.
"What's wrong?" He asked carefully, turning his attention towards me, quickly closing the stove "Does your chest hurt? If so you should take off your binder-" Matt fretted, before quickly continuing "You can borrow one of my sweaters, I know those make you feel more comfortable-" He continued. Elliot sighed softly and shook his head, looking up at his lover.
"I... need to tell you something"
