Atlantis is breathing
18th May 2050
We had started a month ago. We had our maps and our compasses. We had everything we needed to trace a lost city. From built in GPS to the most wonderful sonar and radar systems.
Tim, Garry, Sheila and me- that's four of us. The submarine is moving.. We aren't losing hope of seeing Atlantis. Every person on land said, " It never existed.." "It's futile.."
Nope. Atlantis is alive.

At last we've found it! WE'VE FOUND IT!
We had gone through the sea.. We couldn't understand where this beautiful piece of earth had gone..
Sheila had an idea. She said that owing to the enormous amount of time that had passed.. The entire Atlantis can be well hidden under the sea bed.
With our built in mechanisms on this submarine..( I really think Tim is a genius. For he is the person who built our submarine named Journey!)..we started digging into the seabed. The probability region was very big and we started at the centre.. We hit something at the end of 20 hours..
That it was Atlantis, I was sure. For four days we went on and on..
Today I can see through the glass- an arched gateway, maybe to the palace. And gorgeous pillars poking their heads through age old mud and silt.
Tomorrow we are going to touch Atlantis.

A watery empire in front of me. I forgot all about Plato or Bermuda Triangle or "it never existed" theories.
In front of my eyes I looked in awe at the architecture.. And got a feeling of their lifestyle.. I filled my head and heart with the blue-green water embracing the columns.
Garry and I swam a little into the majestic place.. Maybe only a split second.. There was a heave.
The earth shook with an intensity I've never seen. Of course, we were so close to the center of the earth... Every thing is bound to be intensified.
We had gone through our safety drills for about a hundred times. It didn't take us more than a minute to paddle back swiftly to our submarine.
The moment we'd managed to get in.. Tim revved the engine. We experienced an extra push as a part of the seabed detached and hit the base of our craft.
Tim switched on the 'Disaster Flight Mode'.. Our last resort at escaping natural disasters. And we are minutes from the sea level.. Without a single photograph of Atlantis.

I think I know why we failed Atlantis. We just delved too deep.. Too deep for the ocean to bear. It lashed back.
Some secrets are 'secrets'.
