Wishes were pending

So were the dreams

Fulfilling them all was not that easy

She now had responsibilities

And promises to keep

She wanted options

She wanted a leave

But leaving her own heart at home

Will only lead to further misery

She stayed to love, to build

What she had created

And that is when she was sure

Her life had a meaning

To caress what she had

And to trust her footsteps

She stood up

Walked again

Towards a better land

Which was nowhere else but within herself
