Permanent Scars

Some say we were too bright

we came in too fast

racing across the galaxy

leaving remnants of cosmic dust behind

as we crashed and burned into the earth

Splitting apart

faster than we came together

and all we have left are

memories floating above us

and permanent scars

etched across the earth.
