EYES
"Why are you doing that? Just give him more time. What if everything comes back to normal? Heyy!! Listen to me!", he was screaming to the guard. The guard was wearing brown clothes. "Son! You are not getting me. Please try to understand that your grandfather's health will not improve. He will die anytime soon.", said the guard.
All of a sudden, the staff rushed in the corridor towards the room. Looking at the hurtle, he stopped a nurse and asked, "Excuse me! What's happening? Why are you all running?" He was feeling anxiety filling his stomach, he couldn't make out what was happening in the room. "Emergency!! Its time to get the machines out and move them to another room.", she said. "I wanna meet my grandfather. Can I please come with you ??", he questioned. The guard interrupted, "No! No! You can't go in. Its dangerous for you!".
Tears started to well up in his eyes as he saw all the machines and medicines were taken out of his grandfather's room. He wanted to know desperately why were they doing that, can't they just hold for some time, what if his grandfather could be revived back but if they remove all the machines it wouldn't be possible, why he was not allowed to go in. His tears started to make the scene blurry. He couldn't see anything properly anymore. Everything was out and the next moment .....
"Hey Samantha! Looking at nature, uh?", said Marie as she walked and sat beside her. Marie asked, "What are you reading, Sam?" Samantha blinked her eyes as she moved her gaze from the tree to the book. She started to read, " When any plant part undergoes senescence (old age), nutrients maybe withdrawn from such regions...before leaf falls in deciduous plants, minerals are removed to other plants. Cutting off all life supporting fluids which cause the leaf to die and fall off..." She again looked at the tree and saw the leaf fall. "Ohh! Saam!.." Marie patted on her back, Samantha looked to the branch from where the leaf just fell.
He was crying badly and he followed the staff. "Where are they taking these machines to?", he said to himself. There was no guard in this area, he looked inside the room as the nurses started to set up the machines. In there he saw a little baby trying to breath. He did felt bad but a part of his heart was happy to see the baby as those machines will support its life.
She continued to read the book again, " Older dying leaves export much of their mineral content to younger leaves, growing parts like a bud."
