Blending
There are no solid colors in this world
Where there once was a solid red, bleeding out from you
Now it’s crimson
Deep, hateful, violent crimson
Or is it carmine with a touch of vermillion?
Who knows? The lines are blurred and blended
Where there once was a solid yellow, fueling the sum
Now it’s canary
Brilliant, sunny, alive canary
Or it is honey with a hint of pineapple?
Who knows? The lines are blurred and blended
Where there once was a solid blue, rocking the oceans
Now it’s azure
Cold, unforgiving, lonely azure
Or it is sapphire with a dollop of tiffany?
Who knows? The lines are blurred and blended
We attach letters to attach meanings to attach differences
But there are no meanings to this abstraction of emotion
No two colors are the same in this world
No red is as deep as the blush of her cheeks
No yellow is as bright as the radiance of his smile
No blue is as sorrowful as his final words
