This is how you lose him. Not by a joke

gone too far, or by a dagger piercing his

thin frame, or someone else capturing

his heart. No, nothing of the sort.

Nothing, but a kiss. A kiss, of all things.

How hard to believe, that a kiss would

be all it took, for the world to shatter,

burn, crumble beneath your feet! If you

had known this, maybe you wouldn't

have taken every punch, every shove,

every mind controlling pill for 70 years.

Everything you didn't deserve ────

everything that he deserves. But oh,

he doesn't. Your angel boy: halo and all,

he pulls away, eyebrows furrowed in pure

confusion. How could he deserve anything

like that? How foolish, to think you could've

kept something so good; so pure, without it

wilting, shattering, dying in your grasp! How

foolish.
