Autumn’s Shadow

I watch as the Ember leaves fall, creating a beautiful sight.

Ember, Jade, Fire, colors of Power and Creativity.

I smile as I breathe in the sight.

Autumn is my favorite time of year.

The Time of Rebirth.

But, quickly the sky turned gray, the leaves wilting to ashes.

I looked up and watched in horror as Frost killed the trees and life.

Turning the scene to a dark light.

I began to run, away from the monster Winter.

But, it quickly catches up to me.

“Please, stop! Please!” I tried to break the ice with my fire but it did little damage.

Then I saw Winter, opening its jaws and consuming my fiery soul, diminishing the flame of life.
