If love were an animal, it must be a dog

I love like a German Shepherd. Loyal and protective, I will not refuse to bite the world if there was a slightest threat to my family.

He loves like a retriever. He will fetch and please anything you throw.

She is a happy gal, and she will splash sunlight all over your world, she’s my beagle.

Laid back is his love for her. He gives her space to do what she likes. Friendly to all, he loves like a labrador.

The Italian greyhound is like a red-hot Latin lover. He comes with the zest for life and a sense of la dolce vita.

Will you love the strong-willed person any less even though he comes off a bit into himself and not into you? The Chow-Chow love is not exactly what most want if looking for adoration, but you love because he is who he is.

Did I mention the guy who fell in love with the fashionista? It was puppy love for him the instant he clapped eyes on her at the busy Champs-Elysées. She walked all manicured and groomed, and she icily looked at his wagging tail and salivating mouth with hauteur. He seemed to be without provenance, and that must have put her off. “Mongrel,” she sniffed with her nose high in the air, and she walked away from his ardor. Secretly, she wanted him, so she dropped her perfumed hankie in the hope he would return it and start a fine romance.

The mother loves her daughter for her independence, and to think she named her Akita! Sometimes she wishes a bit more warm fuzzies and touchie-feelies, but accepts her individuality. “Well,it’s better not to be too clingy like the Bichon-frisé and have attachment issues to one person,” she rationalizes.

The guy from Mexico surely has a Napoleon complex. He overcompensates for his size with assertiveness. Yet, it’s hard to take the chihuahua seriously; he yips, yaps, and barks for all its worth.

If you prefer the strong, silent type, the Basenji can fill your life. From Africa, he yodels like he’s from the Alps occasionally. However, you may have to spend sometime understanding what he truly wants.

Talking about yodeling, it’s not silly to wonder if the alpine St.Bernard may have a shot at winning first prize at the yodeling competition. Not to burst your bubble, let’s just say this massive dame has no chance. However, she’s the best rescuer of lost and stranded souls in the high,snowy mountains. She’s priceless that one.

Collie loves the herd; from grandparents to the smallest infant in the house, he’s a family kid. He brings much joy and love to all.

Love is faithfulness, and Fido will never betray.

Love from a dog is pure, loyal, and that love will not shirk from protecting despite fires, floods, or calamities. When you’re loved with such dogged persistence, you’ll recognize the mother lode of love in its purest, most valuable form.
