I break.

Shards of tears

illuminate:

the mourning

I rake the grains

with gentle hands,

sifting words

to understand,

listening

as silence

spans

The distance from

your heart

to land.

I speak your hope

’til realized,

paint the pitch

with sunrise skies,

in Braille

I write

what beauty lies,

until
