“Everything Will Be OK”
Free from the hunter’s trap. Free from the abductor’s chains. Free from the engulfing suffocation of a seemingly endless confinement. Finally free. The time spent isolated, secluded, and lonely, has reached it’s end. But not really.
In the meaningless hours of my sleepless nights, I had pondered upon the falsified reality that the vast majority of us live beneath.
“Everything will be OK.”
A common lie that has been equally dispersed across the world to those of all ages. While this falsehood is seemingly the most comforting, it is also the most disturbing.
Four words.
Eighteen letters.
That is all it takes for humanity to forget and discard the pressing burdens that have been placed upon us and those around us. Enough to make us overlook the suffering of those who know what reality truly is. Those who are constantly facing troubles and hardships, and are deep in sorrow.
We as a species have never been unified in a feeling of empathy, or even sympathy. All humans have a general understanding of feelings, but over time, greed and laziness has corroded our comprehension on these complicated objects.
There will always be problems, obstacles, and complications; many of which we have created and have put upon ourselves. The one in which we are currently faced with is by no means as severe as some others, but the other problems we have must be faced with equal resiliance.
We cannot crumble under the pressure given when we realize our predicament, nor can we merely disregard it.
You must do your part in making the world a better place for not only yourself, but those around you. It is the only way that we will leave behind the lies, and begin to accept the world for what it really is.
