house of broken things
I walk quietly, the floorboards rotten and damp.
I don't want her to hear me. Its not the others i'm worried about. Rock, she's alright. Paper, might be a bit tricky. But her...
I hear something behind me. I turn, and Paper is sitting on the ledge. She giggles, a small, child with no color. White hair, white clothes, nothing is colored. Her fingers are covered in ink, dripping the black liquid like blood on the window.
" Hello again, Fae." She grinned, her teeth pointy like folded paper. I grin back, snd slowly walk backwards, keeping my eye on her at all times. Paper licked her fingers, and looked at me slyly, her lip wet with ink, dribbling down her chin.
" Fae, would you like to dance?" she asked, her hair growing longer, a pale tangle that soon was inching it's way torawrds me. Crap.
The hair trickles over to me, reaching hungrily for my bruised and bare feet. I jump as one lashes out at me. Her eyes watch me. I reach for my bag. I fumble for the one thing I could use right now. Matches.
I have two left. I light the first one. Dud.
My feet and brain are dancing as I try lighting the other match while Paper's hair latches on my shoe. She laughs again, a cold and ear-splitting laugh.
While she did that though, I lighted the other match, and threw it on her hair. It was like it was covered in gasoline. It reached her head in seconds, and she screamed unearthly as ink pooled from her mouth and eyes, a sight that would give grown men nightmares.
I ran, the smell of charred paper and sulfur made me gag. I vagely heard the sound of metal clanking together, and immediatly ran to the other room. I locked the door and leaned against the wall, my breathing labored from running all night with no food or water. Paper's screams echoed through the building, and I was emotionless as her wails grew louder and louder until they were cut off.
It would take about a few hours for her to come back.
I heard scratching on the door behind me. I never got a break here, do I? I assumed by the heavyness of the scratching that it was Rock. I looked around the room, and was delighted to find the bed. It had a sheet, and I also found that the fireplace still had a poker, that was still hot. I assumed that Paper had tried putting it out prior to finding me.
Rock scratched on the walls again. I dove under the bed as she kicked the door open. She was so different from paper. Like a teenager, but her body was thicker and she had grey skin, like clay. Her face was built like a dragon, and her nose angrily spewed steam. She was like a war machine.
I inched quietly deeper under the bed. I had to be as quiet as possible. She had an abmormal sense of hearing for a human. If she was human.
I noticed a canteen. I didn't know if it had water. Water was Rock's weakness. The problem was, if I opened it, she'd hear me, and If it was empty, I'd be dead.
Then, my foot rubbed loudly against the bedframe. She screeched, a metallic noise that echoed through the room, and I opened the canteen, and not water, but the smell of alcohal warned me to duck as it splashed against her body. Fire danced around the room, and I tied the sheet, on the frame next to the window. Her cries were diminished as she backed away and tripped on the sheet, causing her to fall out the window.
I was tired of doing this over and over. Every mission was worthless. I couldn't leave, until I defeated Scissors. I walked over to the doorway and froze. Across the hall Scissors was here. The most terrifying one of all.
She was built like a spider, eight legs like twisted scissor blades. Her waist was twisted and her neck was bent at an abnormal angle. Her hands were like bldes, sharp and rusty that were so gnarled and long, they dragged across the floor. Her eyes were sewn shut, but fangs curled from her thin lips.
She hissed, an the three bells on her neck rang. She ran at me, her legs breakig the floor. A crack formed inbetween my legs, and I fell through the hole, screaming as I felt one of her hands go through my chest, my lungs punctured by her fingers.
We both fell, and I coughed, blood everywhere, as she layed, dead, under a pile of rubble. I looked at her body, and smiled. I won.
Everything went black.
