trying

if it wasn’t for you.

But you taught me that I can’t move on

if I’m still tethered to the past like a balloon tied to the ground.

You showed me it was okay to let go,

to cut my string so that I could float through the fluffy clouds of life and soar to my dreams captured in sparkling stars.
