Maybe, only after...
After we have learned how to bypass
geographic, cultural, racial, ideological differences or distances
created by death or separation in space and time,
only then might we reach deeply into the very corner of our soul,
to love someone unconditionally without reservation,
whether this person is our father, mother,
brother, sister, son, daughter, lover, spouse, teacher, friend,
or even enemy,
we will understand how to feel and embody
this kind of deep and unconditional love.
Our life is such a repetitive, never-ending class,
to teach us how to feel and exercise this love—
whether in the past, at the present, or in the future,
and to extend such a love towards everyone, every creature-being
and everything that we come across in our lifetime.
Perhaps only this way,
will we allow the most tender part of our heart to open up,
and to be fully compassionate with ourselves—
as well as with others,
so that we understand how to feel confident and fearless,
and to face ourselves peacefully,
to appreciate this body and this life fully, calmly,
and that there will be no need to hurry or fuss about anything in life any more.
