I love you but you're real: There are some characters we fall for and wish were real. What if fictional characters thought of us too? What if they love you but you're real? Write a story or poem about this and tag me \(^o^)/

A New Portrait in the Gallery

The man I love in the pages of a book

Walked into his portrait gallery one day

Only to discover a new painting of my face

He asked everyone how the portrait came in be in his gallery

He asked everyone who was the subject

No one knew

The was a strange card underneath giving a puzzling clue

It merely said you are loved

He couldn’t sleep so he kept coming back to the portrait trying to read the artist’s signature

The artist style was unfamiliar to him

He sent a message to his art seller in London to come post haste

On arrival the art seller explained that it was a self portrait of a new artist

Our hero asked could he meet her

The art seller said he had never meet her that he had arrived in his gallery to discover the painting with a note that it was for you

Our hero gave the seller a portrait of himself to put in the same place that she had left his painting with a note

The next day his portrait was gone with a thank you note left

She said she could not meet the kind sir as much as she wished to as they were from different worlds and different times

She did not explain she was real and he was her favorite character in literature
