Confession
He pauses
Inhaling deeply
With eyes wide open
A blank stare
Oxygen expands
He gathers his thoughts
Seeking courage
A quick meditation
Resigning pride
Start exhaling slowly
Eyelids gracefully bow
Acceptance awaiting
With flushed faces
His knuckles go white
An unyielding grip
Unlocks lost souls
Hands go cold
When air thickens
From ghosts escaping
Filling the room
Ride his sweet breath
I am startled by the chills.
