Gone

Today, I missed a step

Not upwards

Not forward

I just lost track

Not running

Not chasing

the page went blank

Not black

Not white

It evaporated

Not in smoke

Not in vapor

Maybe buried

but not in sand

or water

Should I say ‘stained’?

but

Not in grease

Not in paint

All I know is you left no memories

of your entrance and your exit!
