Your smile and laughter
Your smile is like honey, sweet and saccharine. Your laughter is like a flu, contagious and infectious.
A
wave
of fatigue, washed over me...
And I thought nothing could make me smile that day, since nothing could cheer me up.
But then suddenly, I heard you. Your boisterous and cheeky laughter told me that it was you.
Knowing that I couldn’t put on an angry face for you, I struggled to my feet, and walked to the bathroom, and faced myself in the mirror.
’Come on, smile.’I instantly plastered a smile on my lips, but no matter how hard I tried, it looked forced and artificial.
I knew that I couldn’t stay in the bathroom any longer; I knew that you would come looking for me. So I stepped out of the bathroom, with the fake smile plastered on my lips. My jaws began hurting, but i kept it on, all the time.
Slowly,
you
chased
away
whatever
that
was preventing me from smiling.
Like a fire in the winter,
your smile warmed me up.

Soon, I felt my plastered smile going away, and I felt a genuine smile, creep up onto my lips. I felt my energy returning, and I felt a new-found strength.
But then, you were not finished. A giggle escaped your lips, and when I heard it, a giggle escaped my lips, too. I had a feeling to capture the moment with my phone, so I sat down with you in ‘the big armchair’, feeling happier all of a sudden. I wonder if it was the humidity or the excitement radiating out of the both of us, but then a few minutes later, our backs were soaked with persiration, and our hair had become a messy bunch, with perspiration dotting our hairline. We took some hilarious selfies which entertained us for quite some time, then we moved on to simply doing nothing and enjoying each other’s company.
We then began talking. We talked about nothing in particular, but then our talk was so silly, we couldn’t help but burst out laughing. We laughed wildly, folding ourselves into half one second, and then throwing back our heads the other second. Nobody could understand why we were laughing, and that made it even funnier. Though I wanted to stop laughing, you didn’t allow me to.
Like a flu, you spreaded me the ‘laughing illness’
and like 2 crazy girls, we laughed

And it felt incredibly good.
