I love

Early mornings and late nights,

Silent evenings and firefly light.

Reading books with blankets tight,

Pen on paper as I write.

Sharpened pencil lined up straight,

Wiping clean a brand new slate.

Grandma's cookies on a plate,

Going on that perfect date.

Gazing up at bright skies blue,

Soaking in the beautiful view.

Smiles and laughter shared anew,

Tears spilt with love so true.

But what I live for everday,

Is knowing that I'm here to stay.
