New Moon
White lies and sin
For those who never knew
What could be true
Or what to believe in
Sacrifice, development
What’s the difference?
I see no deliverance
But sometimes in the night
The birds go quiet
And the snow falls softly
One must wonder
Where the new moon goes
Closer than starlight
But almost as far as lovers
The distance of indifference
But keep quiet now
The stars will shine
The moon will be new
Until clouds come through
And fill the sky
With frightening depths
A deep dark sea of vapor
Of radiation gone thin
Troubles come knocking
Busting doors in
Lighting and snow
A mysterious couple
A glamour shot of old
Left out in the cold
Bleeding through soft hands
Of deeds done
Attempting to undo
The wrap of fabricated world
Reality a string to be cut
For delusion comes near
Speaking sweet words
But only what we want to hear
