Losing Hope

Day by day,

I try to ignore.

Tear by tear,

Locked behind my bedroom door.

You don’t understand

how much it hurts.

Instead, you just pretend

that you give me love.

I tried to stay strong

but you break my heart once more.

Until my hope is gone,

now my heart has many holes.

I restrain from crying.

I refrain from yelling.

I hide all my emotions

Until now, my heart’s breaking.

Now only pieces remain

My fragments of life all lost

I wonder amongst all the pain,

‘Will there ever be someone I can trust?’
