Rose Anarchy

A strange name.

It seemed like Rose was born to

defy.

But Rose was a good girl,

she followed the rules,

she was thankful for our government,

for she felt free by being confined.

But one day Rose met a girl

named Diedre Praecepta

whose last name

meant "Rules" in Latin.

The two girls had names as opposite as

the sun and the moon,

and personalities like night and day.

Diedre rejected

the status quo

because she felt stifled in this "free" world.

Rose watched Diedre from afar,

scared to associate

with the dark side.

But Rose Anarchy couldn't stay away

from danger,

even though she'd trained herself to avoid it.

So one day she talked

to Diedre

and she found they had more in common

than it seemed.

It seemed like

they balanced each other out,

Diedre spent more time getting out of trouble,

and Rose spent more time getting into it.

Rose had no idea

that what she felt was seen as wrong.

Rose had no idea

the consequences of love

and so Rose Anarchy

rejected her rules,

rejected her books,

rejected the lies she'd been fed through a straw,

and took a big bite

of solid, bitter Truth.

And Anarchy and Rules

ran off together

to make their own

Freedom.
