Challenge
Tired of hearing the same old Christmas songs over and over again on the radio? How about a new Christmas song? For all song writers and prose benders alike, write an original song for Christmas.
Southern Sugarplum, a new Christmas Song
We sing our song in a voice that is strong,
Bake whiskey cake that will cause you to quake,
Paint a picture of a slow, lazy river,
Hum a low tune that’ll cause you to croon,
Test your mettle. Talk civics o’er a kettle,
Go spelunking and then take a dunking,
Wax eloquent as a real Southern gent,
Keep on going, though our tears be flowing.
We thespians play all the livelong day,
Suck hard toffee over pots of coffee,
Calm us down after being tight wound,
Tuck in bed, sugarplums in our head.
