Fight fire with chewing gum

if we all chew gum,

our mouths will be busy,

less talking for the smart-assed,

no talking at all for the uncoordinated.

dentured men and women,

through age old masticated wisdom,

will know better,

will resist the urge,

and for once,

the head-scartching ape,

will deal with stuff.

there will be a lot,

of scraping of shoes,

but it is better by far.
