First dance

I never liked dancing,

No! I didn’t know how to do it.

But then I heard steps, tiptoeing from the unknown yet at close-range.

There was no drummer around, I looked and searched,

The steps then diffused into a rhythmic sound and got closer than ever ,

Startling the legs in an irregular pattern,

Until the heart saw what sound it was,

And with joy, began a proper dance;

Her first, at a sound that was your heartbeat!
