A Sonnet
Hearts quaking with all the emotion
Promises spoken, “I’ll never leave you”
“I cannot live without you; it’s true!”
Every day it is shown, that devotion
One day, the ship starts sinking in the ocean
Words are still spoken; the lie comes, “I love you too.”
But nothing is meant between these two
And soon it all is counted as misdevotion
As he drives away
Leaving her breaking inside
Trying hard to forget those days in May
As the gap inside both of them grows ever wide
But, no, it is too late to turn around and stay
For the love inside has already died
