Sandwiches

Today is all about sandwiches,

Rising before the cockerel,

Knowing I’ll finish after roosting,

Sandwiching school between work.

Fitting all the chores of the day,

Into the longer hours,

Where once I might have slept,

Sandwiching work between life.
