Winter light
Hopefully the prompt is self explanatory. I would personally love to see a romantic piece about sunlight in winter, if that makes any sense. Prose or poetry.
Sunlight, at its best, in winter
May I look behind the screen?
Had I, what would I have seen?
(I had peered behind the scrim,
not enough: outline of him.)
Wondered just what would I see:
likes of you who’s digging me!
Backlit, in your birthday suit,
swinging free, low-hanging fruit.
How I love this sunlight’s angle.
Precious minutes! Let’s not wrangle.
How delicious, light that’s slanted
making this time seem enchanted.
Low supply and high demand,
for less daylight is at hand.
Hurry, while there’s one last glimmer. ...
sunlight, at its best, in winter.
