Do you think I need a different hobby?
In the MIDDLE of the night the other night. I thought of two words that have the same number of syllables AND have the same letters! I started writing a haiku right then! I was worried that I might forget the premise. I think I fell asleep for a few minutes, but I got up and WROTE DOWN the two words. I turned on a light in the closet and closed the door most of the way.
Now I didn't go into the BRIGHT CLOSET, mind you. Going into the that much light might've shocked my system.
Using the MUTED LIGHT, I found a pencil in my 'makeup / JUNK' drawer, and wrote them on scrap paper I conveniently found, er, I mean, ... I "had stored" in said JUNK drawer. I printed the words with my left hand and wrote them large and sloppily. I am not left-handed.
Then at 4:40 a.m. or so, I was half awake again. So I got up and wrote down the rest of the poem that had fully formed by then.
I took a picture of it when I got (back) up ... after daylight. Enjoy.
p.s. Why am I writing and entering this post now? Because I FINALLY thought of a comedic idea for an old man who desired revenge on loud New Year's Eve neighbours ... and I just KNEW the challenge creator wanted it written at night. So I'd done just a bit of research: (hootenanny - an informal session at which folk singers and instrumentalists perform for their own enjoyment.) Upon pulling up the challenge, Lo and Behold, that was not the challenge needing to be sorted out at night! So ... that one will have to be continued, with any luck. Hopefully it'll be 'good' luck. I'm going back to bed.
