Favourite Words
Possum - where I live we have brush tailed possums, not opossums. In my family, possum is an affectionate nickname that Mum always called my sisters and I when we were small, so the word has good connotations for me (although possums are considered pests, I never thought of that before ...).
Darling - I don’t think this word is used as much as it used to be, but it’s sweet. It means “dearly loved”, so I think it’s one of the best words for a spouse or child; it’s like “dear”, but twice as good.
Magpie - the warbling of magpies makes me feel like I’m home.
Marvellous - if you’ve spoken to me, you may have noticed that this is a word I use very frequently. This is simply because I believe that life is absolutely marvellous and everyone deserves to know that.
Little - just because :)
