Wearing Cape of Integrity

Bernie Sanders, he’s my man

if he can’t do it, nobody can

no superman with bulging muscles

doesn’t have to leap tall buildings

but wears a cape

for truth, justice and America

flyaway hair but tidy mind

champion for middle class, working poor.

Shh! Listen! Knows what he’s talking about

doesn’t cave in to big guys raping country

independent but running on Democrat ticket

definitely no twin to Hilary Clinton

his own man fighting for brighter future

votes unashamedly pro-choice and pro-female

no pleating of his values under pressure

stands up to NRA, backs firearm reforms

scrutinize his Senate page

testimony to accomplishments

voting independently of red or blue

Doesn’t just look for lesser evil

strives for change, doesn’t back down

platter of diversity for left wing

fighting against corporate takeover

of the America we hold dear

doesn’t care if others disagree

will do what is right with integrity

background and grit to be leader

of our free world
