Cloud 7
Things come, things go
The sense and nonsense of life
Head in the clouds, head in the sand
Flew high and so often burned
Everything turns and it turns daily
The strength in you supports and betrays you
Man in the mirror – hate or love?
He pushes you in front of him and he tires you out
And you want to be someone else
You can’t think of anyone
And you don’t want to do what you’re doing
And regardless, you’re sitting here again
And write the whole night through
False pride, vanity
Your life, and no time for life
Books written full with this emptiness
Your nightmare on cloud seven
And I close my eyes to all these questions
’Cause it’s hard to carry the doubt
On your shoulders
So I close my eyes to believe in something
That’s worth it to love, in order to love life
Here on cloud seven
Things come, things go
Afraid of the fall, it’s better to stand for nothing at all
Nothing more to see in the flood of images
And then to go down losing the fight
Heading to the Catacombs at night
Drinking again to counter the hangover
And disappearing into the crowd
Believing in nothing, but miracles
And you want to be somewhere else
It just doesn’t occur to you
Knowing everyone, but trusting no one
Everything’s been said and no one wants to hear it
It would be so easy, if it wasn’t so simple
And all the contradictions are silenced
My nightmare on cloud seven
And I close my eyes to all these questions
’Cause it’s hard to carry the doubt
On your shoulders
So I close my eyes to believe in something
That’s worth it to love, in order to love life
And I close my eyes to all the questions
I’m tired of the doubts after all these days
